For mums from all walks of life that need more nature and connection, join us for a half day hike on Maungatautari.
If you've been wanting to get into hiking, or just get more hiking into your life, this is really about taking the time for you to do just that.If you've been having a tough time, sometimes it's just mind over mountain.
We hope this event can be the start of a community of women that have the confidence and are inspired to get outdoors more often.
All proceeds go to Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. This world class conservation project is close to our hearts and we want to share the mana and magic of the mountain with more women.
This hike will be led by Nature and Nosh hiking guide Kylie Rae who will share her hiking tips and tricks as well as stories from the incredible ngahere.
Thanks for the incredible interest! We've had over 60 register interest for this event, so we've had to close it off for now!

About the walk
9km / 4 hours walking
Soak in the mana and magic of the largest mainland ecological island in the Southern Hemisphere, Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari. Explore primeval forest where ferns, fungi, nikau and native seedlings carpet the undergrowth and huge trees tower over us. As we make our way up to the rocky outcrop on the Te Tonga tramping track, there is plenty of time for breaks to appreciate the unique surroundings and curious birds. A short, sharp climb to the rocky outcrop offers magnificent views across the Waikato basin on a clear day, where we can enjoy a hot drink and morning tea. Down the other side of the outcrop, we intersect the Over The Mountain track make a loop back to the start.
