Bring your workplace into nature
Nature and Nosh offer a range of unique Corporate experiences that provide your team the opportunity to disconnect from the office and reconnect with nature and each other.
Spending time in nature can reduce stress, calm anxiety, boost your mood and increase clarity - all the key elements for promoting creativity and wellness.
We provide a safe, relaxed yet professional atmosphere for you so you can totally immerse yourself in the outdoors with our range of tracks and tasting opportunities in the Waikato.
Our packages can include: short guided hikes, or 'walking meetings', gourmet picnics, strategy or training sessions at our immersive bush boardroom table, wild food foraging, cooking demonstrations, or team building activities.
All our corporate packages are tailored to suit your organisation, it’s goals and your team and can run from half a day to a full week.
Walking meetings and problem solving
There's great research to support that time spent in nature reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, elevates mood and can even boost your body’s immune response.
Walking in nature can also boosts creative output (divergent thinking) by 60% on average! So it's far more powerful than sitting around trying to solve a problem or come up with new ideas. In fact, Steve Jobs was known for his walking meetings. We can prime your team's creativity for an afternoon session by taking a short walk, letting their unconscious minds roam.
Step into our Bush Boardroom
Imagine sitting around a rustic boardroom table, underneath an ancient canopy, nestled in the middle of the bush with birdsong echoing around you.
We can offer your company a unique opportunity for up to 12 people to use our bush boardroom table, nestled in the pristine Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari, for a corporate meeting, team training or facilitated strategy session. Should the weather not be in our favour, there is covered but open front bush shelter is available with power and storage room.
Wild food forage and cook
Did you know our native bush offers a smorgasbord of edible delights that were used in traditional Maori cooking?
Join our experts for a foraging experience through and learn about the abundance the forest has to offer. Search for native plants and herbs, learn about their nutritional and medicinal properties, and how Maori used them and still use them today for healing and in cooking. Harvest your findings to take back and watch as our chefs prepare delicious, fresh dishes complementing contemporary flavours.
We are proud to partner and work with Sanctuary Mountain Maungatautari as Inspired Kaitiaki, and to offer our unique corporate packages. A world-class conservation project, this ancient eco-system is enclosed by the longest pest-proof fence in the southern hemisphere. By removing all mammals from Maungatautari it has provided a safe environment to reintroduce some of New Zealand’s most endangered species back to their natural habitat. But it needs ongoing community support and contribution to continue to be successful. Show your company's commitment to conservation by making a donation. We can build this in as part of your corporate package, or if you'd like to get more hands on, there are opportunities for your team to help the rangers with some projects on the maunga.
Explore the Waikato river by kayak with the team and enjoy the magic of the Pokaiwhenua canyon. We can organise a fun team building activity at 'the landing', or you can simply relax as you paddle gently and enjoy stories from local guides. For something extra special, try the night time Glow worm kayak experience. As night arrives over Lake Karapiro, paddle slowly up the stream and through the canyon carved out by water over many hundreds of years. When darkness falls, float silently back downstream, being guided by the glow worms on either side sparkling like fairy lights.
Local food and wine tasting experiences
We've got the keys to the backdoor of a collection of artisan food producers in the Waikato and Coromandel regions. Our great relationships with them, means we can get your team in for a private tasting and tour at a local winery, award-winning cheese producers, gelato makers, hand-crafted chocolate from bean to bar, honey producers and more. We can even get you hands on with a cooking experience. Each experience is created to your team's tastes and needs.
