Our tours operate across the Waikato region and The Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand's North Island

We've got a couple of well-kept secrets.

The Waikato and Coromandel regions of the North Island aren't particularly known as hiking destinations. And that's the beauty of it.

We've got an impressive selection of stunning day hikes within our two regions. We're locals and we know the best spots, trust us. The flavours of our regions complement our walks perfectly.

The Waikato region - Our Heart of the North tours

A geographically and culturally diverse region, the Waikato is made up of rolling hills and green farmland pastures, mountain ranges, waterfalls, limestone-laden valleys and thick, lush rainforests and native bush.

The fourth largest region in the country, the Waikato is named after New Zealand’s longest river. The Waikato River winds 425 kilometres from Lake Taupo on the Central Plateau to the Tasman sea.

One of the richest agricultural and pastoral areas of the world, we are spoiled for choice when it comes to tasting the flavours of the region. Award-winning artisan cheeses and icecream are one of the gifts from the dairy industry, but the entrepreneurial spirit of the locals goes beyond this to offer tasting opportunities from wine and organic blueberries to seriously good coffee.

The Coromandel - Our Coastal Charm tours

Renowned for its natural beauty, coastlines, misty rainforests, pristine golden beaches and mountain range, The Coromandel is blessed as an undiscovered hikers haven. Its rugged terrain is contrasted by an idyllic coastline and the relaxed and laid back vibe of the locals makes for a magic experience.

Quaint towns line the peninsula and an interesting gold-mining and logging history is steeped in the hills. Cuisine is often locally sourced and seafood is a feature year-round.

The Coromandel is considered part of the Waikato region, but most locals know it as it's own stand alone area and a popular summer holiday destination for New Zealander's.
